Recommended places to visit during your holiday are the town of Alkmaar and the village of Bergen, which can be reached in about 30 minutes. Alkmaar has a beautiful historic centre, where the famous cheese market takes place every week in the summer.
Closer by, Schagen is also a nice getaway and a town with a cosy centre where there is a lot to do in the summer. Every Thursday in summer, the West Frisian market takes place here!
