Julianadorp aan Zee and the park the Zandloper is located between the bustling Callantsoog and south of the naval town of Den Helder

An ideal family beach resort. 

All that one needs on a successful holiday can be found in Julianadorp, or better, Julianadorp at Sea. Within only minutes’ walk one can reach one of the cleanest beaches in Netherlands. In the surrounding area you will find ample possibilities for dining in one of the several restaurants, cycling, walking, fishing, golf course (family golf as well) and horseback riding. There is a subtropical swimming pool, sauna, solarium, tennis court, and canoe rental.

In and around Julianadorp aan Zee there are various walking and cycling routes through the dunes and the polder area.

Julianadorp is a pleasant coastal town and perfect base to discover all that North Holland has to offer. Possible daytrips are: Alkmaar (cheese market), the Zuiderzeemuseum, a daytrip to the city of Amsterdam, Texel (Ecomar) or a visit to the typical scenic villages as Kolhorn, Schagen, Hoorn and Enkhuizen. More in the neighborhood one can also find the Naval Museum, Fort Kijkduin, Marine Aquarium and of course the grand annual Navy days in Den Helder

Julianadorp aan Zee is located in the centre of the Koegraspolder. The Koegraspolder was reclaimed in 1824. Untill 1909 Julianadorp had a different name: Loopuyt. In the year Princess Juliana was born the old owner of the village requested to change the name to Julianadorp, which was granted
In former days it was mainly cattle breeders who lived in the Koegraspolder. During the fifties more countryside was prepared for the bulb-growing industry. More bulb growers from southern Holland came to the area of Julianadorp. Nowadays most of the countryside is covered in bulb fields with tulips, bluebells, daffodils and lilies.
