Sint Maartenszee

The friendly holiday village Sint Maartenszee is a lovely typical Dutch town. A good holiday town where you can enjoy the superb location closes to the coast. All our homes are all just minutes away from the dune nature reserve Zwanenwater and close to the beach of Sint Maartenszee which can be reach with a short bike ride or pleasant stroll through this beautiful natural dune area.

On the beach of Sint Maartenszee no endless traffic jams on sunny days, no pounding music from hip beach bars and no crowded beach, here one can still enjoy the friendly, peaceful and quiet atmosphere. There are two beach bars open most parts of the year, a good location for a cup of coffee with cake, a nice cool drink or an evening meal when the sun sets. Overall Sint Maartenszee is a pleasant place and it is not for nothing that many of our guests come back every year.

The village of Saint Maartenszee has everything you need. There is a supermarket and a few restaurants around the corner. There is a, in the region well known, playground, ‘de Goudvis’, a large playground which offers good entertainment with bad weather as well. And don’t forget to visit the nearby charming coastal village of Callantsoog. Here several good restaurants, souvenir and clothes shops are opened year around.

The area which is now mainly known as a summer and beach location of Netherlands has with various natural area’s and beautiful cycling and walking tracks however a lot more to offer. Sint Maartenszee is located in a typical Dutch region with dikes and typical polder landscapes. The polder, which in spring look like a rainbow when the tulip fields are in bloom.

Just 20 minutes from Sint Maartenszee the authentic towns Schagen and Alkmaar are located. In Alkmaar one can go shopping and of course visit the famous cheese market from April onwards. In the nearby town of Schagen, you will find excellent restaurants, surprising good shopping possibility and during the summer you can visit the famous West Frisian market.
